The Chicago Association of Latino-American Muslims is happy to present the beginning of what we hope will be a great resource of information about Islam for Latinos. At this time, our website is under construction so please excuse our dust. However, we will be providing information about our events on the home page until development of the website has been completed.

New Intensive Course! Women in Shariah

This course is in Spanish and will cover marriage, divorce, family in Islam, Women and Education, dress code for women in Islam and other discussions pertaining to issues regarding women in Shariah. Muslim and non-Muslim women are encouraged to attend. Refreshments, coffee and appetizers will be provided.

New Islamic Classes in Spanish for Sisters

The objective of this course is to learn the basics of Islam while providing opportunities to engage with sisters in an Islamic atmosphere. If brothers are interested in this program, please let us know.

  • Welcome and support new Muslims
  • To answer questions that anyone might have

New Program for Children

The purpose of this program is to provide a place for children to be taken care of and to learn Islam while their mothers are participating in the programs above. Children will learn topics suitable for their age level. Arts, crafts, games and activities are also part of the program.

Sister Alma is a very enthusiastic and charming person who will be available for this program through April 2007.
